I have found a site which gives you 3 Way Links for free (limited to 700 Beta Testers). You might be the lucky one to try it for free. Try your luck and sign up for free now and become beta testers at 3-way-links Sign up and see if you will be billed or not.
If you are not the lucky ones to try it for free, then you might want to consider this option to get your PR rankings up. Below is the explaination on how it works.
There have been three major search engine paradigms since the first search engine was born:
In the first search engines, on-page factors mattered most (your page title and page text).
It was very easy to rank well back then. All you had to do was make sure your title and text contained the right keywords.
Google was the first search engine to analyze the incoming links to your site and rank a site based on its link popularity. The other big engines followed suit, and because of this, reciprocal linking became the best way to rank well in most engines.
Webmasters started trading links and were ranking well in Google because of it.
Google caught on to the huge surge in reciprocal links, and started to devalue them in 2006. Now, while reciprocal links still hold some weight, in order to rank well you need to get links pointing to your sites from domains that you do not link to.
This has made life hard on the webmasters who relied on reciprocal links for ranking, since it’s much, MUCH harder to get one-way links to your site than to trade links with other webmasters.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to trade one way links as easily as you used to trade reciprocal links? Imagine being able to get dozens, or hundreds of links from related web sites, all considered one-way links by the search engines.
If you could do that, your search engine rankings would rise again…
Now you can trade one-way links with ease!
How is it possible to "trade" one-way links? It’s easy using the "3 way" linking method. It works like this: You have 3 web sites (A, B and C). Site A links to site B, site B links to site C, and site C links to site A, like so:

From the search engines’ perspective, site B has a one-way link from site A, site C has a one-way link from site B, and site A has a one-way link from site C. This prevents the engines from discounting the link as being reciprocal, even though, in fact, they really are.
This is not a new concept. Even as early as the year 2000, some webmasters were using this method to achieve rankings in Google faster, since even then Google recognized the value of a one-way link over a reciprocal link.
But it’s more difficult to do a 3-way trade, especially if you’re trying to keep track of who you’ve traded with, and whether your links are still up on their sites.
At least, it USED to be difficult, but not anymore!
Get dozens or hundreds of one-way links to your site with very little effort.
3WayLinks.net makes it easy for you to trade links with dozens or hundreds of other web sites. You simply signup for an account for each domain you want to include in the network, and add a small PHP script page to your site (linked to from your home page).
The network will then slowly start adding links to your links page, and adding your link to other network members’ links pages, at the rate of 2 - 6 links per day (as they become available). The maximum number of links for any site is 250.
A second option is to trade articles with other sites in the network, which allows your link to be on a content page by itself, as well as allowing you to link-out to other sites with TRUE one-way links.
The networks are broken down into categories to ensure that the search engines see your links on pages that are related to your own site’s theme.
Would dozens or hundreds of quality one-way links help your site’s ranking?
If so, then this is the system for you! Each member site is approved by a human reviewer to make sure it is of good quality and fits into their guidelines
Also, the network is monitored by an automated system, so that sites which go down or remove their links page are taken out of the network to make room for webmasters with active sites who are willing to play by the rules.

Who is The Coolest Guy On The Planet?. When you search for the keyword, "the coolest guy on the planet" on Google, you will find about 1,070,000 results. On Yahoo, about 1,160,000 results and on MSN, about 215,085 results (as of 10 March 2007).
Why are there so many result pages on that particular keyword? Well, from what I know it’s an SEO contest(started in July 2006), to find out who is the best at optimizing the keyword "the coolest guy on the planet" to be #1 on Google search. At the moment the top ranking position is being held by Brad Fallon for quite some time now.
I was thinking to myself maybe I will give it a try and see if I could be on the first page of Google search as I find that this is quite an interesting challenge. It doesn’t hurt ,right?! Even if I don’t get to be on the top, I know at least I’ll be the coolest guy on the planet in Malaysia to have tried.
I don’t really know who started this "who is the coolest guy on the planet-seo contest", but I know that it provides tips and tricks for newbies and internet marketers to learn and experiment with SEO (search engine optimisation). If you know the answer on who started this, please do let me know.
This has got to be the saddest day for Adsense, Affiliate Marketers and webmaster. If you know what "Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool" is, then most likely you have heard the rumor by now that it’s now dead and gone.
Yes it’s true. Adsense, Affiliate Marketers and webmasters no longer be able to use this free Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool anymore cause it’s now toast. Sigh…
This URL (http://inventory.overture.com
I’m not worried for myself as I’ve always use Brad Callen’s "KeywordElite" to help me. My only worry is that newbies like you would have to pay for keyword research now (wordtracker, nichebot and etc.) and that’s not really helping you.
Oh well, all good things always comes to an end. If ever you find any free "keyword research" tool/s, please do let me know.

Latest Update (1st February 2007)
FINALLY, after a few days of not being able to enter the "Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool", Yahoo has release the truth. They are NOT CLOSING the site. Pheeew…what a relief!
I did more research and found answers that Yahoo is having some technical difficulties with their Keyword Tool. I guess even a search engine giant like Yahoo are also vulnerable.
Loren Baker, the Editor of Search Engine Journal (which I got this source from) addressed his concerns on behalf of the internet community with Yahoo Search Marketing Team & John Slade, Sr. Director, Global Product Management.
Here was their response:
"First, I’d like to clarify that Yahoo! Search Marketing’s public keyword research tool (formerly known as the Overture’s Keyword Selector Tool- KST) continues to exist today and will continue to exist until we replace it with an improved product. Unfortunately, the responsiveness of this free tool is diminished due to the sheer volume of hits it receives each day, therefore browsers may time out and error pages may appear but it doesn’t mean that this tool has been removed."
Q: Are there any plans of offering a new YSM tool or API?
"Yahoo does have plans to offer a new public keyword research tool, which would be hosted through Yahoo! and available to our API partners. We plan on making this new tool available later this year."
Q: Why was this not announced beforehand (or was it?)?
"Since the public tool is still available, there isn’t anything to formally announce. However, when we launched our new advertising platform last quarter, it featured an improved keyword research tool (which we refer to as “protected” since it’s only accessible to advertisers who are logged into our system) to help advertisers discover more relevant and valuable keywords that fit their individual needs. We’ve been getting really positive feedback about this tool and we plan to continue to enhance this tool as we learn how advertisers interact with it."
Q: Is Yahoo hosting this tool somewhere else now?
"As I mentioned before, the public tool continues to be available but my advice to our advertisers is to use the protected keyword research tool."
Well, all is well and ends well.:) I just wish that Yahoo should have release an official statement when their Keyword Tool was having some technical difficulties. I mean, for such a large corporation, they should have kept us informed rather than just keep quite and kept everyone in the dark, don’t you think?
Anyway, let’s hope that the keyword Tool would make it’s return soon. Woohooo…"Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool" IS NOT DEAD!
Hmmm…I’ve been trying to find the "protected keyword research tool" that was mention in the article but i can’t seem to find it anywhere in Yahoo Marketing nor in Overture. If you do find it, please let us know. Thanks.
Anyway, if you want to use a free keyword tool now, good news!
Wordtracker has just launch it’s new free "keyword tool". What a coincidence! Hmmm, do you think they have anything to do with overture’s technical problems? LOL!

You have created your website - uploaded content and images to create a pleasing online environment for your information - and are ready to launch. Yet, for all the relevant content and attractive photos provided, optimization for the search engines will require more than presenting a nice package. The site needs to be optimized for search results, that search users looking for information on your topic are able to find you. For newer sites, age can be a determining factor in how it is ranked among older sites search engine view as more experienced and relevant, yet with proper optimization and implementation good results can be had.
Some factors to consider when optimizing your website for good search rankings include:
Code - Is the HTML code that builds your website valid? Will a search engine spider be able to crawl your front page in its entirety, then go onto the listed sublinks without hitting any walls? Is your code free of dynamic strings that a search engine spider cannot read. If not, is the code altered in a way to keep the dynamic factors of your site without holding up a crawler’’s ability to mine data from your website?
Content - Is the content you provide on site relative to the site’’s topic? If paraphrasing from other sources, do you give proper credit? If your content is original, do you make it available to other sites of relevance to use, and do you include your link information? Is your content well-written, free of spelling and grammatical errors? Is there a proper balance of relative keywords that may be targeted in search? Is your content compelling enough to prompt site owners of relative content to link back to you without being asked?
Freshness - How often do you update your website? Do you use a blog to power your site with updated content? Do you syndicate your content through an RSS feed for other sites of relative topics to use? Do you use an RSS feed of relative information on your site to bring updated content to your visitors?
Keywords - How balanced is your use of searchable keywords in your content? Are the keywords used relative to the site’’s overall content? Are you trying to trick the engines using keywords that are not relevant? Do you use too many keywords, or too few? Do you create anchor link text of searchable keywords, leading users to information deeper within your website?
Links - Do all of the links on your website work? Is every subpage within your site linked back to the home page? Do you have outbound links on your site that lead to relevant information? Have you performed a link popularity check on your site to determine what sites are linking back to yours? Do you seek link building relationships with sites of quality and relevance?
META data - Do you include relevant META tags for keywords and descriptions on your website? Do you use too many META keywords, too few?
Search Friendliness - Overall, how search friendly is your site? Will search engine spiders be able to explore the entire site without running into problems? Does the site look professional, original?
Sitemap - Do you have a sitemap containing links of all subpages in your site? Is it parsed correctly and easy to read? Is a link to the sitemap available on your home page? Do all the links on your sitemap work?
Usability - Is your site’’s look and feel attractive to the site visitor? Is the site easy to read, easy to navigate? Does a visitor need to click on more than one or two links to find relevant information? Does the site load quickly?
One thing to note about search engine optimization is that there are no set rules. What works for some will not work for all. Take into consideration this list and apply the best of your abilities where needed on your website. Constant care to your website will yield results.
