1 Wedding, 4 Foreign Friends And A Birthday Bash.
It’s been a VERY hectic month for me and I haven’t had time to blog. I have so much to tell and so little time. So I’ll try to cramp 3 happy occassions that happened recently into one blog post. I have never in my life posted such a long blog post.
The Wedding
Recently, on the 24th of November, I attended one of my internet marketing friends wedding at the Damansara Palace Restaurant. It was the wedding of Ng Khai Siung to his beautiful and wonderful wife, Yuenn. They got married on the stage, witness by a pastor and followed by lunch. The event started at around 2pm and ended at around 4pm. I really had a great time there. Loved the food and the great company of friends and strangers. I was very impressed with Khai’s singing to his wife. It was quite a suprise to hear him sing for the first time and it’s was really good. It was also great fun having lotsa IMers there too to celebrate and share with Khai and Yuenn their happy occassion. PLR prince Edmund Loh was Khai’s best man. Foreign IM guest Ladan Lashkari, Dee Ferdinand, Francis Jimenez, Semmy and Cornelius also came to celebrate with them. This is one wedding I will remember. Thanks for inviting and…CONGRATS TO KHAI & YUENN!!! May you be blessed with everylasting love, happiness, health and wealth!

Yuen and Khai - Never seen them smile so much before.
More than 300 family and friends attended the ceremony.

4 Foreign Internet Marketing Friends
On the 20th of November, 4 internet marketers from Indonesia came to Malaysia to attend Khai’s wedding. They were Dian Ferdinand (Dee), Francis Jimenes (From Philippines but now living in Indonesia), Cornelius and Semmy (the PPC guys) . Being a friendly lot that we are, Melvin Ng, Edmund Loh and I offered them to stay in our respective houses instead of wasting money staying in a hotel. The first 2 days they stayed over at Melvin’s house, cause’ he is living closer to the airport and he could pick them up and bunk into his place first.. Melvin took them out for a heavy "makan"(eating in malay language) spree for the whole two days. I think they put on 2kgs after staying with Melvin! LOL!
When I heard that Melvin was such a great host in pampering them, I decided to outdo him by being more hospitable when it was my turn to play host on the 22nd till 24th November. I did the exact same thing by taking them out to eat, until dee told me…"errr Matt, I think we take a rest first. We are still full, man. No more eating. Let do some other things". hehehe… So we went on to do some go-karting, karaoke, cyber gaming, meeting up with other IMers such as Richard Quek, Daniel Quek(I hope I got the spelling right), Peng Joon, Ben Chin and etc.
We did not do much of sight seeing as time was a factor. I was supposed to take them to Petaling Street - our local Chinatown where one can purchase *ahem* "branded" goods, but we did not as there were roadblocks all over town(some protest). So we decided to stay put in Petaling Jaya and hung out at the Curve Shopping Mall and Ikea.
Later, on the 25th, they went on to stay over at Edmund Loh’s place until the 26th. They had a great time with him too but i shall not elaborate here. I’ll let Edmund tell you his story in his personal blog. On the last day of their stay, I went over to Edmund’s house to bid them goodbye. It was kinda sad seeing them leave, like I felt that something was missing. I really enjoyed having them here. Too bad it was short . But nevertheless it was great hanging out with the "Indonesian treasures" and I hope we can do it again in the near future. Dee, Francis, Cornelious and Semmy…may god bless you and for being such wonderful company. Francis, make sure you allocate a bodyguard for me when I come down to Jakarta or Philippines.
Below are the photos of their fun stay here in M’sia (Most of the photos were taken by Dee):

"Finally, no more eating pix. We had an IM GoKart Challenge in Subang Jaya!"
We were supposed to have more participants but the rest could not make it. I had a shock when all of them except Francis told me that they have never go-karted before. Nevertheless, after the 10 min of practice run, the guys were driving like madmen pros on the second round of 10 min race. Everyone was daring enough to go fast and skided taking corners.

The Birthday Bash
It was Edmund Loh’s Birthday on the 24th November. Later that night after Khai’s and Yuenn’s wedding, I organised a get together to celebrate his 21st birthday at Red Box karaoke. Everyone that Edmund invited came. Thanks for the support to those who came.
Those who attended was: Alfred Ko, Ben Chin, Cornelius Sugeng, Dennis Sim, Dee Ferdinand, Francis Jiminez, Gobala Krishnan, John Ng, Jessica, Jessny, Kenny Tan, Khai, Ladan Lashkari, Melvin Ng, Peng Joon, Sunny Tan, Sheila, Steven Wong, Semmy, Sherman Yap, Yuenn and Vince Tan
At first I asked Edmund what he wanted to do on his birthday. I presented him with a few options and he decided that Karaoke was the best choice as everyone can network, drink, sing and have a good time in one private room. So we went on to book the biggest karaoke room where we can party comfortabaly. The package we took includes buffet dinner, beers, whiskey, fruit patters, soft drinks, cakes, snacks and sparkling wine. I had already plan with some guys to get Edmund drunk that night but he seems to be a very smart fella…everytime we asked him to drink, he just takes a small sip and talks his way out of it by changing subject of him drinking to something else. Grrr…
Those who came early around 9pm had buffet dinner and started singing already. And I thought I will have a hard time convincing them to sing. LOL! I forgotten who started singiing the first song but if I’m not mistaken, it’s either Sunny or was it Jessica? Nevertheless, after they started singing, almost everyone selected a song to sing too. Even the quiet ones like Kenny Tan and Steven Wong started singing also. It started with some ballads and later it went on to some screaming and shouting match more vocally challenged selections of songs
Everyone had a good time networking and partying. The best drinker for that night was Francis J…maaan, can he really drink!
Update (Dec 7th): I found out it was Khai that started singing first…

Cornelius and Khai: "To all the girls I loved before…."
Yuenn (3rd from left): Thinking…"hmmm, which girl you love before, hah?! Too many ppl here, better just smile first. Wait till we get home!!!"

Matt: "Eerr..Ed, the mic is for singing and not for chewing "
Francis (behind Ed): "LOL, he is drunk, don’t tell him lah."
Sunny (next to Ed): Aiyaaar, It’s his birthday. If he wants to eat it, let him be lah."
Ladan (far right): hehehe, I’m so recording this and selling it online. I should make a nice profit from "Edmund Loh Gone Nuts."

Will the real Alan Tam please stand up?
Both Steven Wong and Kenny Tan trying to outdo each other with their rendition of an Alan Tam song.

Khai: "Aaaannnd…I….did it my waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.!"
Yeunn: "Aiyooor, enough already! Very loud lah. Can someone please take the microphone off him?!."
